The Strategy of Unstoppable People-Part II
February 28, 2026
Luck or Law?
Uncle Martey was enjoying a quiet night on his veranda in Navrongo.
The moon hung lazily in the Upper East sky.
The air was calm.
The world was quiet.
Then—
Footsteps.
Rapid.
Urgent.
“Nafisa?” he murmured.
She burst into the compound — breathless, restless, almost offended by life itself.
“Uncle Martey!
Uncle Martey!!!!”
She adjusted her cloth slowly, unshaken.
“I am jealous of Aunt Nneka,” she blurted.
“She has never been to Accra.
Never travelled to Europe.
Yet she is the most successful woman in this Region!”
She stamped her foot.
“Uncle Martey, why?
Why are some people just born lucky?”.
Uncle Martey leaned back.
“Jalele!” he exclaimed.
Nafisa paused, confused.
“Please, why do you always say ‘Jalele’?”
He smiled.
“It’s an exclamation from the Volta Region. When surprise grips your soul, you shout — Jalele!”
She stubbornly folded her arms.
“But answer me.”
Uncle Martey sighed dramatically.
“This Mateki girl has spread rumours that I am Google.
God help me.”
Nafisa did not laugh.
She wanted answers.
“Now tell me,” Uncle Martey asked gently,
“Do you believe in luck?”
The question caught her off guard.
She blinked.
“Uncle Martey… everyone knows luck exists.”
He smiled — the kind of smile wise men wear when they are about to disturb your comfort.
“Successful people like Madam Nneka do not believe in luck.”
“Eeeiiiiii!” Nafisa gasped.
“As for this one, I don’t believe you!”
The moon seemed to lean closer.
The Neem tree listened.
Uncle Martey adjusted himself in his chair.
Wow.
Uncle Martey had a challenge.
How would he deal with it?
He cleared his throat.
“My daughter, get your pen and paper.
Tonight, we begin the strategy of unstoppable people.”
And the lesson had only just begun…
Join me in Part 2 as Uncle Martey reveals the secret strategies of successful people.
Thanks for reading.
