Discipline: Forty Years in a Four-Hour Market

 

The morning in Navrongo does not rush.

It stretches.

It breathes.

It arrives with intention.

Nafisa sat under the neem tree.

Dust rising gently.

Market women arranging their baskets in the distance.

“Uncle… show me discipline.”

Uncle Martey did not answer immediately.

He watched the sun.

Then he spoke.
